FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Yes, you can. Replacement tips (or wands) come in packs of 10. You can order them here on our website.

Note: We sell replacement wands in pack of 10 because customers like to cut the tips to different lengths for a variety of spray sizes.

  • All Technicide products have a 1-year parts and labor warranty. If you run into problems during that time—a very rare occurrence—just give us a call to discuss the problem, then mail the Exacticide back to our shop. We'll correct the issue and send it right back to you.

In addition to the warranty, the Exacticide also comes with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for a full refund within the first 30 days.

For more information, see Warranty/ Repairs.

NOTE: Unless directed by our team, please do not try to correct any issues on your own while the unit is under warranty; doing so will void the warranty and you will need to cover all repair costs.

  • Yes. The Exacticide was designed to statically charge the dust to allow you to properly dust wall voids, cracks, and crevices thoroughly with minimal application so that you can save money on pesticides.

  • The truth is, there is no other battery powered unit that is capable of applying dust and granules. Nor is there another unit capable of blowing dust up a 36 foot bee pole.

There is no comparison when it comes to battery life, nor is there a comparison when it comes to precision dust flow. The Exacticide is a one-of-a-kind solution that meets virtually every need.

  • The Exacticide was designed to replace all other applicators, allowing an operator to make inside and outside applications on every job, all day long, on one charge. Some customers report it lasting for a few days, or even up to a few weeks.

The battery is rechargeable and requires only 50 minutes to get a full charge, or 15 minutes for a quick charge. And you can purchase additional batteries here on our site, if you like.

  • Yes. In fact, it only weighs 3 pounds. You can make applications holding the Exacticide down at your side while using the extension tubes and hoses so that you avoid any strain on your arm.

Additionally, we do offer a belt hook for the Exacticide to free up your hands even more. Purchase it here.

  • Yes. The Exacticide is suited for both indoor and outdoor use on residential or commercial properties.

Because dust gives the longest residual, dust should be your first choice for most jobs. Thanks to the precision control capability of the Exacticide, you can treat cracks and crevices as well as large voids without worrying about making a mess. If you use 25b exempt products, dust can also be applied without the risk of harm to humans and pets.

  • You can use all brands of dust in the Exacticide. For more information on what dust is most effective for a specific application, contact your local distributor. You can also use fine granules in the Exacticide.

Do not use liquids with the Exacticide.

NOTE: If you use Drione, mix 3 parts boric acid to 1 part Drione (due to Drione’s oil content) to prevent damage to the Exacticide.

  • Because of the unique delivery system of the Exacticide, you don’t need to worry about clogging in humid areas.

However, clogging can occur if the Exacticide isn't regularly cleaned out.

Turn the Exacticide upside down and blow it out by squeezing the trigger after use. We also recommend you blow the Exacticide out with compressed air dry lubricant at least monthly (you can purchase lubricant here).

  • Before switching products, turn the Exacticide so that the canister is inverted, (the same way you installed it after you filled it). Direct the tip into a target site and squeeze the trigger. This will allow only air to go through the manifold, clearing the product from the manifold and tip.

As an extra precaution, you can wipe the canister receiver with a disposable rag before you attach the new canister of product.

  • When designing the Exacticide, the quick connect nozzle kept clogging up. Dust would build at the connection and we would have to clean it out every 30 minutes.

We designed the bore of the Exacticide to be tapered so that the wand stays securely in place. Simply rotate the wand while pushing it in the bore and it will not fall out.

  • Here is how you troubleshoot if the Exacticide stops working.

First, make sure the unit isn't clogged. Clogging is the most common problem, but it is a very easy fix. Siimply turn the Exacticide upside down and blow it out by squeezing the trigger. You can also blow out the Exacticide with compressed-air dry lubricant.

If that doesn’t fix the problem, feel free to give us a call to see if we can diagnose the problem over the phone. We aren't always able to target the problem over the phone, but we're happy to chat with you to see what we can do.

If it's not a problem you can resolve on your own, see Warranty/Repairs for more information.
