Back Pressure can occur when the Exacticide tip is pressed up against rubber or silicone caulking. This action by the operator will stop the air and pesticide from flowing normal. The results of this action can cause the canister to blow off with great force. If this occurs insecticidal dust or granules can be spread about creating a mess and a hazard.
With over 40,000 Exacticides operating in the field this problem is happened less than 12 times. Please be aware of this, and Do Not place the tip into objects that can seal off the air flow.
As a precautionary measure technicide has placed an air pressure relief hole near the tip of the Exacticide wand. We recommend that you do the same with tips that you may have on hand. Using a 1mm drill bit. Drill a hole ½ inch from the end of the tip. If the tip is accidentally blocked the hole will relieve the pressure.
Congratulations on your purchase of our PFC Electric Powered Dust and Fine Granule Applicator! With Exacticide, your capabilities are endless. As you expand its use, this will become your go-to tool for solving all pest control problems and will allow you to perform a highly effective service in ¼ of the time it would typically take to complete the service with all other industry standard methods. This “Quick Start Guide” outlines the most effective and efficient way to perform pest eradication. Maintaining the Exacticide properly will provide you with many years of reliable service. 1. Smart Charger: Remove the battery charger from the carrying case and plug it into an 110v/220v outlet. Place the battery into the charging dock. You will then see a solid red light on the charger. If you see a blinking red light, the battery could have an negative charge on it and it will take up to 10 minute to go solid red. If the blinking does not stop change wall outlets. The light will turn green when the charge is complete. 2. Loading Pesticide: Loading dust or fine granules: once you have filled the canister provided with the product of your choice, turn the Exacticide over and screw the canister on by twisting it into the Exacticide receiver lid. While tightening the canister in place, hold the mounded receiver lid with one hand while screwing the canister into place. Turn the Exacticide over into the upright position to begin an application. **Before squeezing the trigger set the volume control dial to the lowest setting and slowly turn the dial up until you hear the air pump come on. Then adjust to desired flow rate. (located to the left of the trigger) 3. Dust and Granule Usage: Do not mix dust, unless authorized by Technicide. Do not use large granules, only use granules with “FG” in the name or on the label. “FG” stands for fine granule. Do not use liquids in the Exacticide. *Warning* After extensive testing, we have found that Drione D does not flow very well in the Exacticide unit. To use Drione you will need to mix it 3-1 with Boric Acid. 3 parts being the Boric Acid. Do Not Use Eco Via WD by Rockwell Labs. Use CimeXa instead. 4. Maintenance - Clearing and Lubing the Impeller: Clear the impeller after each use by simply turning the Exacticide over into the same position that was used to load the canister. Squeeze the trigger while the tip is in a target void of your last targeted treatment area. While doing this, tap the side of the canister so all dust falls from the impeller. This procedure allows only air to pass through the manifold and clears the impeller. At the end of each day, repeat this procedure. Once the canister is removed, squirt dry Silicone lubricant into the small square hole in the semi-center of the receiver lid. One squirt is all that is needed. Run the Exacticide for a few seconds. Reinstall the canister and store in the case provided with the case stored upright. (Dry Silicone Lubricant, comes in an aerosol can sold on our website) Note: If you ever notice an excessive amount of dust building up on the inside of the unit stop using and contact Technicide immediately. 5. The Use of Extension Hoses: While using extension hoses, dust will build up on the walls of the hose. This build up can be managed by periodically turning the Exacticide over during application to allow only air to blow through. This method will help to reduce build up and periodic bursts of dust. Only use tips, wands and extensions manufactured by Technicide. Other devices may damage the tool and/or hinder performance. 6. Battery: To insure top performance, drain the battery all the way down for the first 3 times you use the battery. Thereafter draining all the way down to zero is not necessary. It is recommended that you do not store the battery connected to the unit. Each time you store the Exacticide unclip the battery and allow space so that the Exacticide terminals do not contact the battery. Caution: Extreme heat or cold may shorten the life of the battery. The battery life is expected to be 3-5 years. Store at room temp when not in use.
