FAQ

Can I get Replacement tips for the Exacticide?

Yes. They come in packs of ten. You can find them on our website under Accessories, or click here. Tip: We sell them in pack of 10 because customers like to cut the tips to different lengths for a variety of spray sizes.

Does the Exacticide come with any kind of warranty?

Yes. It comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. If you run into problems during that time - a very rare occurrence - just give us a call to discuss the problem, then mail the Exacticide into our shop. We'll correct the issue and send it right back to you.
Unless directed by our team, please do not try to correct any issues on your own while the unit is under warranty; doing so will void the warranty and you will need to cover all repair costs.
In addition to the warranty, the Exacticide also comes with a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for a full refund within the first 30 days.

Does the Exacticide put a static charge on Dust?

Yes. The Exacticide was designed to statically charge the dust to allow you to properly dust wall voids, cracks and crevices thoroughly with minimal application. This saves you money on pesticides.

How does the Exacticide compare to other battery powered units?

The truth is, there is no other battery powered unit that is capable of applying dust and granules. Nor is there another unit capable of blowing dust up a 36 foot bee pole. There is no comparison when it comes to battery life. Nor is there a comparison when it comes to precision dust flow. It's a one-of-a-kind solution that meets a lot of needs.

How long will the battery pack last?

The Exacticide was designed to replace all other applicators, allowing an operator to make all inside and outside applications on every job all day long on one charge. Some customers report it lasting for a few days, up to a few weeks. The battery is rechargeable and requires only 50 minutes to get a full charge, or 15 minutes for a quick charge.

I am a 110 Pound female, is the Exacticide light enough that I would want to carry it around all day?

Yes. In fact it only weighs 3 pounds. Applications can be made holding the Exacticide down at your side while using the extension tubes and hoses, this way there is no strain on your arm.

Is the Exacticide suited for indoor use?

Yes. The Exacticide is suited for both indoor and outdoor use on residential or commercial properties. Because dust gives the longest residual, dust should be your first choice for most jobs. Thanks to the precision control capability of the Exacticide, you can treat cracks and crevices as well as large voids without the worry of making a mess. And if using 25b exempt products, dust can also be applied elsewhere without a risk of harm to humans and pets.

What Brands of dust can be used in the Exacticide?

All brands of dust. For more information on what dust is most effective for a specific application, contact your local distributor. If using Drione, mix 3 parts boric acid to 1 part Drione to prevent damage to the Exacticide due to Drione's oil content. Fine Granules can also be used in the Exacticide. No Liquids.

Will the Exacticide clog up in humid areas like Florida?

No. Because of the unique delivery system, clogging is not a concern. Clog ups may occur if the Exacticide isn't regularly cleaned out. Turn the Exacticide upside down and blow it out by squeezing the trigger after use. Also blow the Exacticide out with compressed air dry lubricant weekly.

You stated that the Exacticide can apply both dust and granules, and all you have to do is change the canisters. How do you prevent one product contaminating the other?

Before switching products turn the Exacticide so that the canister is inverted, (the same way you installed it after you filled it). Direct the tip into a target site and squeeze the trigger. This will allow only air to go through the manifold, clearing the product from the manifold and tip. As an extra precaution before attaching the new canister of product you can wipe the canister receiver with a deposable rag.

When I am using the Exacticide, sometimes the wand falls out. Why doesn't the Exacticide have some kind of quick disconnect nozzle?

We didn't go with the quick disconnect nozzle because that option kept clogging up. Dust would build up at the connection and would have to be cleaned out every 30 minutes. The bore of the Exacticide was designed to be tapered so that the wand will be secure and stay in place. Simply rotate the wand while pushing it in the bore and it will not fall out.

My Exacticide stopped working... What should I do?

First, make sure the unit isn't clogged. This is an easy fix that you can perform by turning the Exacticide upside down and blowing it out by squeezing the trigger, as well as blowing the Exacticide out with compressed-air dry lubricant. You can also give us a call to see if we can diagnose the problem over the phone; we aren't always able to target the problem over the phone, but we're happy to chat with you to see what we can do.

If it's not a problem you can resolve on your own, please send the Exacticide to us in a well-padded box without the batteries, case, or accessories, and please include a note that has your contact information (a business card works well) and the problem you're experiencing.

As soon as your Exacticide is received, we'll inspect the unit and check the warranty. If it's under warranty, we'll immediately take care of the repair to get it shipped back to you. If it's not under warranty, we'll give you a call to let you know what needs to be fixed and the cost. Repairs are completed and shipped out within 2 business days of when they are received or when payment is collected.

All Exacticides needing repair should be sent to the address on the bottom of our website. Please note that shipping costs are your responsibility, and expedited shipping can be arranged if you need the unit back urgently. Standard shipping typically takes up to 5 business days (deliveries are not made to business addresses during weekends); the closer you are to Southern California, the shorter your delivery time will be.

I have an older Exacticide but want the newest version. Do I have to buy a brand new one? Or can I have mine upgraded?

Our newest version is always the most reliable, so having that one is a great choice. We can absolutely upgrade your unit to all of the newest parts at a large discount from buying a brand new Exacticide. You can call us at 1-800-950-5866 to discuss the details, or you may simply send in your unit with a note stating you'd like to have it upgraded. We'll call you once we receive it to let you know what the cost will come out to based on which new parts are needed.
