Bed Bug Elimination -- Treat Them Right, THE FIRST TIME

Bed bugs are becoming an increasingly bigger problem. They're often hard for people to identify and can be very difficult to eliminate. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, I cover bed bug treatment tips and tricks to get rid of infestations on the first try.

And here are a few additional tips to help you treat bed bugs effectively:

  • If the customer does vacuum, have them leave the vacuum in one of the rooms you're treating; this allows you to inspect and treat it. Sometimes bed bugs hide in there and then repopulate the space... and nobody wants that to happen.
  • Ask the customer what their daily routine is to find out if they'll be unintentionally bringing any bed bugs back with them. Sometimes bed bugs hide in cars, prosthetic limbs, soles of shoes, and a number of other places that can be easy to overlook. Other activities like staying in hostels and giving rides to the homeless can also be a cause. The goal isn't to scare your customer; you just need to help make them aware of the whole situation so you can treat everywhere possible and prevent re-infestation.
  • Some populations of bed bugs are particularly difficult to eradicate. In those situations, it's often effective to mix CimeXa with another dust, like EcoVia WD, to get a full kill. *Label instructions and warnings should always be followed*
